High-poly sculpt created in Nomadsculpt on iPad
My own design for an anthro-frog character, inspired by an old birthday card I illustrated for a friend several years ago.
Using a new process, I start by concepting in Clip Studio Paint, coming up with a turnaround that i can use to bas my proportions off. Then I sculpted the high-poly and applied some base textures in Nomad Sculpt on iPad. Still on iPad I retopologise the character in CozyBlanket before moving the whole thing over to PC to continue working on the character in Blender.
In Blender I bake out the High-poly to a low poly diffuse image texture and spend a long time hand-painting out details as I like them. Shout out to Omar Faruq https://www.artstation.com/omartawsif for the brush pack that made my life so much easier!
Next steps will be to rig the character, and do a few test animations. If I have some time I will make the little diorama scene from the original Illustration.
